Summer days are quickly fading, though we know you’ve still got some time for last minute warm weather escapes! July is out, and August is creeping in — which means it’s time again for our monthly roundup of some of the best pictures we’ve seen this month on Newscom!
Highlighting the month, are final pictures of the World Cup (and funny faces!), adorable animals and breathtaking landscapes. Mandela Day was celebrated for the first time without the revered Nelson Mandela, and unfortunately, it was a bad month for aviation — especially Malaysian Airlines.
The Costa Concordia was finally removed from the coast of Giglio, and the Commonwealth Games in Scotland are sustaining our need for awesome sports photography. Meanwhile, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues, though the world waits, hopeful for a cease-fire resolution.
