Pictures of the Month: June 2014 on Newscom

Ok, so I’ll just warn you right now. We’ve got so many World Cup pictures this month. I don’t think we can get away from it really, and would you really want to anyway? These fascinating action shots showing the strength and stamina of these athletes, and are really quite incredible.

Other than that, of course we have our usual roundup of some amazing pictures we’ve seen in the past month. From hard coverage of the Middle East, to wild weather in the United States, Newscom has pulled together a great collection of pictures from this June — just for you!

Some highlights include Spain crowning Prince Felipe as their new King, along with his beautiful wife Letizia, as Queen, as well as the San Antonio Spurs taking the NBA Finals Championship trophy back to Texas. Currently, Wimbledon is well underway, and if you haven’t seen our latest tennis pictures, well you’re definitely missing out — so please do! Oh so much drama …

This June, we celebrated D-Day, Flag Day and the 50th Anniversary of A Hard Day’s Night, by the infamous Beatles. Oh, and we couldn’t have missed the awesomely quirky camel pageant show!

Macro-Owlfly

With their alien-like eyes these insects look like they have flown in from the set of the latest sci-fi movie..And the unique insects even pose for the camera and do not flinch as the photographer gets to within just three centimetres of them. The collection is an example of macro photography – where the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. Armadillo-and-Brazil-Soccer

Iraq-Fueling-station
