As you can imagine, February was dominated by all things (and pictures) Olympics! So, even though we have many amazing pictures of talented athletes, we also have some pretty cool pictures of intense facial expressions, just in case you need some laughs!
February started off with a bang, as the Seattle Seahawks took home the Superbowl Championship title. And like I said before, even Valentine’s Day this year, was over-shadowed by the Olympics. During the games however, other things did happen. Jimmy Fallon took over the Tonight Show, and Simon Cowell welcomed a baby son into the world. Yes, thrilling I know! Even some birds took to taking their own selfies. What a month…
This month, however, we sadly said goodbye to Philip Seymour Hoffman, Shirley Temple, Sid Caesar, and Harold Remis–all while Ukraine struggled (and continues to do so) over a division between European ties and its big brother Russia. Meanwhile in Russia…ousted president Viktor Yanukovych, made a public declaration to fight for Ukraine despite his fleeing, due to safety concerns.
As February is always a short month, it seems a little too soon for all these awesome pictures. But looking forward to March, I know we’ll see some that are just as great. So enjoy just a handful, of the best pictures we saw this February below, then come see many more back at Newscom!
